A multi-passionate maker of things

Welcome to my corner of the Internet. Glad to have you here.

In lieu of an introduction

You may be wondering what is a “maker of things”. Well, it’s a person that makes things. A creative Swiss tool of sorts. A multidisciplinary specialist if you prefer a more professional term.

I humbly believe that talent comes in more than one form to any person and in my creative and professional journey I have learned to embrace that fact. Therefore I am all into drawing, design, photography, video editing, printmaking, layout and even stitching. My ideas come in all shapes and sizes and although my process may seem illogical and stray from the path, I deliver professional results.

So, welcome to my website. Make youself comfortable and see what I have to offer. This is the time I need to warn you that if you are looking for a classic portfolio with works in one genre or style of work, you will not find it here. If you are looking for a mere contractor for a project, I am not your person. I enjoy creative freedom, clear briefs and using any tools and methods to get the job done. If this sounds like you, I’d be happy to work together. If you’re still not sure, continue reading the next section to get to know me better.

My professional journey

I have always been in the creative field in one way or another. My (let’s call it) career started officialy in 2019 with a Junior Graphic Designer position in a French company for printed advertising. It worked exclusively in France and my day-to-day responsibilities included fulfilling the design part of clients’orders. The software I used for the job was mostly Corel Draw and we slowly phased it out for the Adobe Creative Suite.

In the span of six years I was promoted to the equivalent of Senior Designer and started working closely with the Marketing team on product development projects from scratch – including communication with suppliers, sampling and quality assurance. Most of the printing was done in-house which meant trips to the printing facility which gave me extensive knowledge of different printing processes – screen, DTG, DTF, tampon, laser engraving, embroidery and others. During this time I was working on the side as a designer (and later as an Art Director) for a music studios. There I carried out numerous album artworks for (mostly) European metal bands.

The summer of 2020 marks the opening of my own design studio where I – again – focused on working with metal bands. One may see a pattern here. 😁

In 2021 I decided to steer a bit off the printed design path and got the position of Motion & Graphic designer in a well-known Bulgarian television. My tasks were focused on producing thematic collages for the news broadcast, animated and/or AR infographics. My main tools of the trade were Vizrt, After Effects and Photoshop. It took me about 3 months to understand that TV is not my piece of cake and I went back to my previous employer. Only this time as a Head of the Design team. I was tasked with training the new employees, managing projects, art direction, improving the workflow through implementing new tools and processes.

By 2023 I wanted out of the “office” type of design work and steered in a different direction – that of digital marketing. It was my first official agency marketing gig (I already had several years of experience in the marketing for music niche). My primary responsibilities include writing, editing, and publishing blog articles, working on the company’s email newsletter, managing the company’s social media channels, and developing creatives for a better brand visibility. I am no stranger to updating the company’s website in Webflow, following KPIs and working on videos for social media and ads. As part of my work responsibilities I have also been involved in organizing some of the biggest events in digital marketing in Bulgaria.
